The War Stage Mechanics
The Objective: Following the 5-day preparation phase of MEE, the winning server invades the losing server. The primary way to score points during the War Stage is by eliminating enemy troops. Capturing the Imperial City grants massive buffs, but the ultimate victor is determined by total kill points.
Preparation & Shielding
Before the invasion begins, recall all gatherers. If you are not a high-power combatant, use an 8-hour or 24-hour Peace Shield immediately. Do not feed easy kill points to the enemy by leaving troops exposed in your city or on resource nodes.
Alliance Coordination
Success depends on server-wide coordination. Condense your strongest players into one or two primary alliances to maximize rally strength and capacity. Use Discord for voice coordination during major pushes.
Resource Management
Healing costs skyrocket during KvK. Calculate your healing costs beforehand. Prioritize healing high-tier (T7/T8) units over lower tiers to conserve resources while maintaining combat effectiveness.
Open-Field Combat
Target Priority
Do not hit random marches. Focus fire to eliminate enemies quickly.
- Focus squishy marches: Target archers and mages first.
- Avoid tanks: Ignore infantry marches with high defense until their damage dealers are dead.
- Counter-matchups: Always send units that counter the enemy's type.
Rally Mechanics
Rallies condense power and mitigate individual losses.
- Follow the Whale: Let your highest-stat player initiate the rally. Their commander stats apply to everyone.
- Unit Type Consistency: Never mix unit types in a rally unless specifically requested by the rally leader.
- Continuous Reinforcement: Keep rallies filled during prolonged engagements.
Kiting & Mobility
Mobility is king in open-field skirmishes.
- Use Cavalry: Fast marches can pick off stragglers and retreat before reinforcements arrive.
- Drag them out: Bait enemy whales away from their strongholds before swarming them with multiple marches.
Imperial City Mechanics
Holding the Imperial City provides massive server-wide buffs and steady point generation. However, it is highly susceptible to coordinated rallies. If you cannot hold it, let the enemy take it, then immediately rally them to farm kill points while they are trapped inside.
